Two of Dublin’s best known hotels will close their doors for the final time today. At 4pm Jury’s Hotel in Ballsbridge and the Berkeley Court Hotel will cease trading
The sites are to be developed by Sean Dunne’s Mountbrook Homes Company. Dunne is believed to have paid $376 million euro for both sites. The company however has run into major planning permission problems with the council in Dublin with plans to build apartment blocks being thwarted
Redundancy deals have been offered to members of staff at both hotels. There will be an auction on Friday 17th of August to sell the contents of the hotel
